Days of Lockdown

It was a week ago when the Malaysian Prime Minister, YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the Movement Control Order (MCO) or lockdown for the nation. I was together with my colleagues when that happened and we were still trying to grasp what was going on. There I was in the office (the name was Ministry of Local Government & Housing at that time) watching the television at the entrance. Today there would be a few of us at the Ministry on rotational basis as most of the government offices, shops and businesses were ordered closed. Our Permanent Secretary, Datu Antonio Kahti Galis decided on Day 1 that the Ministry needs to be operational during lockdown. That includes weekends. As MCO was announced for two weeks only then, I thought this will all be over soon before things go back to normal. I was to discover that I was very wrong. Very very wrong.
